SI Electronics (SIE) has licensed multi-standard video decoding technology from System-on-Chip Intellectual Property (SoC IP) company Imagination Technologies Group

SI Electronics, an Eastbourne-based specialist in graphics processors for amusement systems, licensed Imagination’s POWERVR VXD 370 technology under a multiple-use license arrangement for use in electronic amusement devices.

This agreement underlines a long-established relationship between the companies. Under the terms of the licensing arrangement, Imagination will receive license fees and royalty revenues when SoCs incorporates Imagination’s intellectual property which goes on to be shipped by partners.

SI Electronics develops and produces video amusement systems which include application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) which incorporate SoC IP cores from Imagination Technologies.

Kings Langley-based Imagination Technologies Group creates and licenses market-leading embedded graphics, video and display accelerators, multi-threaded processors and multi-standard receiver technologies.
