Commitment to recruitment

Siemens has launched a recruitment drive for up to 100 highly skilled engineers over the next two years, demonstrating the company’s commitment to a new semiconductor design centre, which will be located in Bristol.

The centre is the seventh to be established by the company, and forms part of Siemens’ strategy to develop its capabilities in the logic chip arena.

John Brothers, managing director of the new design centre, said `This new centre will play a key role in Siemens’ mission to lead the field in all areas of System-on-Chip technology. It will become Siemens’ European design centre for the TriCore micro-controller/digital signal processing core, and will be instrumental in our plans to raise design productivity by enabling further design re-use across the company’s world wide network of design centres.’
