UIG buys CEL

CEL Instruments reports that ownership of the company is transferred to the UIG/Casella group of companies the leading UK environmental equipment and consulting services group. CEL will continue to manufacture its range of noise metering products, and expects that business volume will increase as the group companies collaborate to leverage the improved market coverage resulting from the acquisition.

Division announces Objectlogic buy

Division has acquired Objectlogic, the San Diego based developer of view and access software for the manufacturing industry. Division says the buy combines the two companies’ complementary engineering software products and personnel, and will enable Division to provide a range of products for enterprise-wide product visualisation.

Husco takes control of joystick

Hydraulic and electronic controls supplier, Husco, has expanded its product range with the recent acquisition of IWA Fluidtechnik. IWA is a German manufacturer of joysticks and Husco expects the acquisition to help broaden its capacity to support current and new customers with more complete customised hydraulic systems to meet their machine requirements.

MAPS expands with acquisition of ESTA

As part of its continued growth, Leeds-based MAPS has acquired ESTA Monitoring Systems. The ESTA business is an established provider of machine monitoring systems to the process industry, with prominent users including Dairy Crest, Van den Bergh Foods, Wards Building Systems and Pork Farms. MAPS says the merger means it can combine the flexibility of the ESTA product with the resources available at a major software developer.
