Siemens and Thales are to supply the fixed trackside equipment for the new line. Siemens’ scope of supply covers the project management, signalling and safety systems, automatic train protection, the operations control system and the power supply, which includes traction substations and the 1500V DC overhead contact line.
Thales will supply the supervision systems comprising station control and the operations control centre, telecommunications and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), access control and contactless fare collection. Based on SCADA technology, the Thales SCADASoft is a modular solution meeting all the function requirements of a supervision system. It ensures the smooth management of day-to-day activities and allows efficient management and resolution of emergency situations.
