University Technical Colleges (UTCs) are government-funded schools that offer 14-19 year students a great deal more than traditional schools by teaching technical and scientific subjects in a whole new way. Traditional schools and curriculums do not deliver the skills and experience that are going to be vital in helping to ensure that the UK can prosper in the 21st century and UTCs are addressing the skills gap identified by employers.
Ron Dearing UTC has opened a brand new building in Hull City Centre which offers students a totally new and unique way to learn. Backed by Hull University and the region’s leading employers the facility aims to bring these exciting educational opportunities to the Humber region and recognise the important contribution of companies like Baumer Ltd.
