Distinctive Honour for Lorien

Lorien Engineering Solutions has been recognised with a special award for their outstanding safety record by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The Lichfield-based company has become one of only 23 organisations to receive an Order of Distinction after winning 15 consecutive Gold awards for their health and safety management.

The award acknowledges the consistently high attainment in construction site safety and the quality of its health and safety management system in assisting clients to construct new facilities safely. In 2006, Lorien project managed 20 active construction sites across the UK.

The awards have been run by RoSPA for over 50 years in order to help motivate health and safety performance improvement and to recognise and celebrate health and safety achievement.

Lorien Engineering Solutions is primarily involved with providing engineering and project management services to the brewing, drinks, food, industrial and pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors, and the renewable waste sector.

Bill Treddenick, Lorien’s director responsible for health and safety, said: “Good health and safety is the key to good business and we are delighted to receive this award which underlines our commitment to the achievement of high levels of performance in this crucial area.

“The RoSPA awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents in the work place; they are also about ensuring that organisations like us have good health and safety management systems in place.”
