Drilling supplier Cutting and Wear announces expansion

As part of a major expansion programme, drilling technology supplier Cutting and Wear has announced a £5m investment programme that includes a purpose-built facility and a number of modern engineering machine tools.

The new 3,500m2 office and manufacturing plant will be set on a three-acre landscaped site at the Smithy Wood Business Park, just off junction 35 of the M1 in South Yorkshire.

This flexible site allows for a further 1,750m2 of manufacturing space and 230m2 of additional offices to be added as the company continues its expansion plans.

Cutting and Wear anticipates the expansion programme to result in creating up to 10 new jobs, and expects to be in its new premises by late 2011.
