€45 million worth of Talent

Bombardier announced today that Hungarian National Railways (MÁV) has placed an order worth €45 million for ten Bombardier Talent Trains.

Bombardier Transportation

. The four-car Bombardier Talent trains will be manufactured in consortium with Elin EBG Traction/Siemens and will be equipped with dual-voltage technology for 15kV AC and 25 kV AC.

The order has a total estimated value of €45 million. Bombardier’s share amounts to €33 million.

All trains are scheduled for delivery this year, starting with the first on 31 March 2006. Financial close is expected in the next few days.

The commuter trains will be built in the Bombardier plant at Aachen, Germany, with the bogies manufactured at Bombardier in Siegen, Germany. The electrical equipment will be supplied by Elin EBG Traction.

The interior fitting and commissioning will be carried out at Bombardier’s and MÁV’s joint venture production site in Dunakeszi, Hungary, near Budapest.
