Element14 creates flooding hub to help electronics in Thailand

Element14, an online community for design engineers, has created an online space at Thailand Flooding that will act as a central repository for the electronics industry on the severe flash floods, while also being a conduit for information flow.

The flood waters are the result of three months of heavy monsoon rains that have plagued large parts of the country.

Claiming that the automobile and computer component sectors have been hit especially hard, Element14 says it will work with suppliers to help spread the reach of their updates as widely as possible.

Suppliers are posting the latest updates on the anticipated impact of the disaster by product range and device type, including likely changes to lead-times.
