The deal for the aircraft, worth $11.5bn (£7.9bn) at list prices, is the single largest for the A380.
Following delivery of its first A380 in July 2008, Emirates now operates 10 aircraft serving eight international destinations, including London Heathrow, Toronto, Paris, Jeddah, Bangkok, Seoul, Sydney and Auckland.
The airline expects the list of destinations to increase as more airports are modified to accommodate the A380.
According to Airbus, A380 firm orders now stand at 234 from 17 customers.
