HMS Alliance, the only surviving World War Two submarine in the UK, is a step closer to being restored to its former glory as close as possible to its 1947 configuration with support from engineering consultancy Frazer-Nash.
After many years of corrosion and degradation, the restoration project aims to rejuvenate HMS Alliance as a visitor’s attraction for the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Hampshire.
Frazer-Nash has been appointed to project manage the two phases of restoration, following the company’s success in the recent competition for this work.
