EDS has recently announced the release of a free, global business-to-business (B2B) supplier program for users of its Solid Edge computer-aided design (CAD) software.
The Voyager B2B Supplier Program is said to open new business opportunities by allowing Solid Edge users to locate other members of the Solid Edge community, collaborate on design and supply product and services to each other.
‘The Gartner Group says that 84 percent of manufacturers access supplier information online,’ said Bruce Boes, vice president of business strategy and marketing for Solid Edge. ‘They need suppliers they can count on. And, they need to streamline supply chain collaboration.
‘The Solid Edge B2B Supplier Program makes it easier than ever before to identify suppliers with which to collaborate on a common Solid Edge platform, further helping our customers to design with insight.’
Participation in the Solid Edge Voyager B2B Supplier program allows customers to differentiate their company among competitors and open new market opportunities through exclusive use of the new Solid Edge Voyager B2B Supplier logo in advertising and proposals.
Users of the program can also list their company on the Solid Edge Voyager B2B Supplier website as well as access other potential advertising and marketing programs. Users can potentially increase sales through qualified leads received directly from Solid Edge Voyager B2B Supplier program inquiries.
Interested Solid Edge customers may access information on existing B2B suppliers or sign up to participate as a program supplier at Solid Edge
