20 May 2009
Warrington, UK. ESR Technology, one of the industry’s leading engineering, safety and risk management consultancies, will be holding a free technical awareness day focusing on bearing failures at its head office in Warrington, Cheshire on 4th June 2009.
Bearing failures cost businesses millions of pounds each year in lost revenue and productivity. Operating within ESR Technology, the National Centre of Tribology (NCT) has over 40 years experience investigating failures for industrial clients.
The Awareness Day will begin with presentations from some of the NCT’s technical experts which will focus on the causes of bearing failures and offer advice on how to resolve them. This will be followed by one-to-one sessions when delegates will be given the opportunity to discuss their specific engineering challenges with the NCT’s engineering consultants.
The NCT supports industry through the provision of a wide range of independent consultancy and problem solving services. It is made up of a multi-disciplinary, expert team of engineers and scientists which includes specialists in materials, failure analysis, surface engineering, corrosion, wear, metallography, metallurgy, valves, pumps, seals, gears, bearings, lubrication, polymers and tribology.
‘Why Bearings Fail’ is free to anyone with an interest in rotating equipment and the key engineering area of bearing failures.
