GDLS awarded $101m Stryker contract

The US Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems $101m in two separate contracts for additional Stryker vehicles and support.

The first award, a contract modification valued at $42m, is for

23 additional Stryker Command Vehicles (CVs). The Stryker CV is a mobile military platform operating as a fast-moving, armoured tactical operations centre for the Stryker Brigade Combat Team.

Work will be performed in the US and Canada and vehicle deliveries are scheduled to begin in July 2008 and end in January 2009.

The second contract, which is a modification of an existing delivery order, is valued at $59m. It covers parts and support for the Stryker vehicle and remote weapon station system. The work is expected to be completed by February 29, 2008.
