The fine history of British biking is alive and kicking over thanks to Holroyd’s gearmaking expertise. Holroyd manufactured the original worm and wheel sets for the rear drive units of BSA Sunbeam model S7 and S8 bikes made at Redditch in the Midlands between 1947 and 1957. Of the 16,000 models made, around 5000 are still in use today, owned by enthusiastic riders all over the world. They were designed with several features unique in motorcycles, including the wormgear drive shaft system. Holroyd continues to manufacture spare gear sets, from the original drawings and tooling.
