Golf handicapped

I am disappointed that The Engineer is using out-of-date units of measurement. Is this a way of further teasing the brains of engineers who are less than 40?

I am sure I’m not the only person who has no concept of ounces and pounds and find it frustrating that imperial measures are still being used. The sooner they are got rid of the better!

Mr Batiste makes a fair point that highlights the dilemma faced by magazines such as the Engineer over units of measurement when the imperial may be technically archaic, but still more familiar to many readers. In this case we got it wrong, but we can only plead the rules of the Royal and Ancient (resolutely imperial) in our defence.
