Hardide Coatings enter supply agreement with GE

Hardide Coatings, a company that develops, manufactures and applies nanotechnology tungsten carbide-based coatings to a number of engineering components, has entered into a Strategic Supply Agreement with GE.

In a deal worth $1.3m over two years, Oxfordshire-based Hardide will supply coating to a component currently used by GE and the possibility exists of extending the agreement to five years.

Development and testing work is said to well-advanced on additional components which, if successful, will be added to the agreement.
