Enterprise software solutions specialist Hummingbird has launched Enterprise Portal Suite, claimed to be the first fully integrated, scalable, end-to-end portal solution.
Enterprise portal suite builds on Hummingbird’s solutions for data integration, reporting, knowledge management, document management and host access by integrating these technologies into a unified solution. The result is a user-centric, web-based environment that enables users to access, manage and act on information across the enterprise.
New application collaboration functionality in the system will enable users to perform collaborative tasks such as checking a business intelligence report into the document management system and building document binders for information delivery, all without having to enter a specific application environment to access that particular functionality. The objective of this solution is to hide the complexities of the underlying applications and to create a user-centric computing environment in which employees can work more effectively.
