IAG orders eight Airbus A330 aircraft for Iberia’s fleet

The International Airlines Group (IAG) has confirmed the firm order of eight of Airbus’ ‘eco-efficient’ A330 aircraft for Iberia’s fleet, following the preliminary Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier this year.

Joining Iberia’s existing Airbus fleet, the A330 will be the airline’s only twin-engine wide-body aircraft and will be powered by General Electric (GE CF6-80E1) engines.

With a true wide-body fuselage allowing very high comfort standards, the A330-300 is able to accommodate seat and class configurations to suit diverse customer requirements.

Orders for the A330-300 aircraft stand at more than 480, while those for the entire A330 range stand at 1,140.
