Execute 400% faster and get the new development environment on Hewlett-Packard’s new HP VEE v4.0 – the latest revision of its graphical programming language for test and measurement.
According to Bill Heinzman, HP VEE manager, v4.0’s new compiler encodes VEE programs so that compute-intensive routines run up to 40 times faster.
On development, it now includes a program explorer (similar to Windows), multiple document interface and debugging. Also, the GUI gets new tools driven by Microsoft’s MMI for Windows 95/NT and Visual C++.
* HP has added Web-based tools to its NetMatrix distributed network monitoring system. There’s also now exception monitoring.
* On the Internet front, HP has brought out several new products, an Internet partner programme and technical support services. Go http://www.hp.com.
