The distributed control and safety system for a gas recycling plant in Qatar will be Honeywell TDC 3000-based. The $5million project covers process control, emergency shutdown and fire and gas for 41 remote wellheads, as part of a project for the Dukhan gas cap recycling system.
Real Time Engineering has won a £500,000 contract to implement pipeline integrity monitoring systems for the two pipelines exporting gas and condensate to Scotland from the Britannia field – the UK’s largest undeveloped gas reserve. Mott MacDonald has been awarded a contract by British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) to automate the control facilities for a tank farm at its Sellafied site. The system will comprise networked Allen-Bradley PLCs and Intellution’s In-Touch PC-based SCADA systems operating over a site-wide fibre optic communications network.
