BECTA elects new president

George Govan, chairman of engineering group Howle Holdings, has been elected as the president of the British Engineers Cutting Tools Association. Govan started his working career as an apprentice and boilermaker and worked in Iran until the 1979 revolution. He has been the chairman of Howle Holdings since 1987.
