Bonds Foundry, which recently laid off 100 staff with the closure of its steel casting plant in County Durham, has not laid off any staff at its other two sites at Tow Law. The majority of work from the closed plant has been transferred to the other plants, along with 15 staff, and the company plans to further increase capacity over the next 12 months. It mainly supplies the valves and pumps market.
