Teachers are dissuading entrepreneurial children from entering business, according to the head of the Institute of Directors. George Cox said teachers generally do not understand the business environment and were subconsciously turning youngsters away from the business world. Against this background, a campaign to get young Britons to become entrepreneurs was launched by prime minister Tony Blair this week with the backing of the IoD, the CBI and the British Chambers of Commerce.
