The Ontario Aerospace Council is to sign a memorandum of understanding to build a region-to-region co-operative network with Lancashire aerospace firms.
The organisation, which represents aerospace manufacturers based in Canada’s industrial heartland, will sign the memorandum with the Lancashire Aerospace Council on 24 November.
The link-up will provide information and remove national obstructions to bilateral co-operation. It follows a UK Canada collaboration agreement signed by prime minister Tony Blair and Canadian prime minister Jean Chretien earlier this year.
Ontario has the sixth largest aerospace industry in the world, while that of Canada is ranked fifth.
