Caterpillar (UK) will shortly supply the first of 15 airportable bulldozers to the British Army for evaluation in a contract potentially worth more than £4m.

The deal will be signed if the Ministry of Defence grants production authorisation following trials.

The high-speed, rubber-tracked vehicle was developed by Caterpillar’s Defence and Federal Products firm in the US, where it is now in production. It will be used by the US Army after testing.
