The CBI is reviewing its methods of monitoring manufacturing industry.

Consultations are taking place with members, trade bodies, government agencies and other employer bodies on the issues facing the sector.

Details of its findings will be published on 12 June in a report which replaces the CBI’s Making it in Britain brochure, produced for the past five years by its National Manufacturing Council.

The new report will be the starting point for further initiatives focused on manufacturing, said a CBI spokeswoman.
