Water treatment for China’s leading oil terminal at Dalian in North China will now be controlled with a PC and Windows-based Orbus distributed control system, from Rotork Instruments.

The project will provide 140,000m3 per day of treated water to 3.5 million people in the area. Six control stations distributed around the plant will be networked, via a dual-redundant Ethernet, to three large-screen control room workstations.

Configuration and graphic building will be completed by the Chinese Automation Corporation, which will visit Rotork’s education centre in Luton for training on the system.
