ADL launches InterControl, a dynamic management tool which expands the ability to control production line devices, remotely and via the web. ADL recently introduced a heavy duty automatic pallet labeller, and will also show advanced labelling and bar coding systems.

Advanced Recognition will show a range of products for ID, inventory and tracking including Denso rugged scanners and data capture terminals; Welch Allyn CCD and laser scanners; Percon’s Intellitrack, as well as introducing the Proxim range of high-speed wireless LANs, and the ARLNET low-cost network.

Alliance Manufacturing Software Stand 769

Alliance Manufacturing Software is to launch Alliance MFG/2000, a suite of fully integrated manufacturing functions designed for small and medium-sized enterprises, running on Windows 98 and NT. Functions include bill of materials, sales, purchase and works order, material and capacity requirements, planning, product costing and control.

Ansys Europe Stand A31

Ansys will debut version 5.6 of its finite element analysis package, which offers new features for meshing and material modelling while also expanding functionality in the multiphysics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) areas. The new Ansys DesignSpace 5.0 and Ansys Professional will also be on show.

Stock tracking equipment supplier ATMS will show the new hand-held Dolphin terminal with inbuilt bar-code scanner and digital camera, for applications such as proof of delivery. The ATMS StockTrack PLUS system handles warehouse management, stock tracking and supply chain control.

Autodesk Stand 1130

Autodesk is launching Autodesk Inventor, a 3D design and solid modelling package for large-scale assembly design. It will also be showing release 4 of Mechanical Desktop, which integrates new part and surface-modelling capability, and includes Genius Desktop 3 and AutoCAD 2000 functionality. Mechanical Desktop 4 Power Pack adds 2D and 3D standard parts and intelligent engineering calculations.

Avro Business Solutions, part of the DCS Group, and Digica will show a new Enterprise Hosting programme targeted at the ERP sector with support from Baan and IBM through its AS/400 platform.
