The Siebe/BTR deal is expected to bring at least £250m in annual cost savings by March 2002.

The biggest savings should come from integrating sales and administrative functions across the world. This could save £90m per year.

A further £70m is expected to be saved from the two groups’ added buying power over sub-suppliers.
