Modules support protocol

Profibus I/O modules with IP67 protection support the streamline Profibus-DP version of the protocol. Three models provide up to 16 inputs, all with diagnostics. Connection to the bus is by 2-wire cable. Applications include process control, baggage handling and robotics.

Miniature surface-mount devices for the world’s smallest camcorders and high-power products used in Japan’s high-speed bullet trains are among exhibits on the JAE Europe stand 3D60 at Nepcon 98 (NEC, 17 19 March).

The company is launching an ultra-high density 0.3mm pitch FPC connector to speed up assembly and eliminate faulty mating.

The Pam 5000 is a fully automated system for printing and applying labels to a programmed position on printed circuit boards or components. Labels are printed and applied one at a time allowing realtime identification of parts.

Pulsed HotBar Soldering allows short and controlled pulsed temperature at 500 C to terminals of coils for stripping and soldering high temperature insulated magnet wires. At 1000 C/sec, high temperature transfer rates limit the flow of thermal energy to nearby areas that are vulnerable to heat, such as plastic bobbins.

Nohau supplies a range of Can networking products covering every aspect of evaluation and implementation. These include STZP Can bus evaluation boards, PC-Can interfaces and development tools.

The Virtual-Can-Interface is a hardware independent programming tool which gives flexibility to change PC-Can connections without writing new drivers, say from serial to parallel or PCMCIA ports.
