British scientists could take part in the construction of a new space telescope system named after Charles Darwin which would look for planets bearing life. A feasibility study into the system, which would comprise six small telescopes and would be more advanced than the Hubble space telescope, begins this summer. The European Space Agency could launch the telescope in 2015.
