TI Group’s Dowty aerospace division has won a contract worth £30m to supply fuel tanks for Eurofighter. The tanks, which will be made by Dowty subsidiary Hamble, have been designed to fit under the wings and can be jettisoned to give the aircraft a cleaner configuration. The contract brings Eurofighter’s total value to Dowty to more than £150m, based on current firm orders of £15bn from the governments of the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
