A joint Rover/BMW design, this Mini ACV30 – `Anniversary Concept Vehicle’ – last week led a parade before the 1997 Monte Carlo Rally to mark Mini wins in 1964, 1965 and 1967. The aluminium body was made in Germany, the chassis and running gear in Britain. The car uses a 1.8 litre double overhead camshaft, 16-valve K-series engine. Although not the new Mini due in 2000, the ACV30 may indicate some of the company’s thoughts
