Vauxhall Motors will steer Vectra and Omega owners in the right direction with Carin, an in-car satellite navigation system developed by Phillips. Costing £1500 and available in May, it will enable drivers to pinpoint their exact position anywhere in England. Later in the year Vauxhall owners will have access to another system, OnStar, which connects the driver through the Vodaphone network to 24-hour information centre manned by the AA. TrafficMaster’s realtime Oracle system which warns of motorway delays up to two junctions ahead is already fitted as standard to Vectra GLS models
