Hunting Engineering’s tactical ground-to-air radio system has been accepted into service by the Ministry of Defence. The system will provide what Hunting describes as ‘a long sought after improvement to communications between land forces and their supporting ground attack aircraft and helicopters’. The system comprises a V/UHF radio, including satellite global positioning system which tells the user where he or she is. The radio comes in manpack, vehicle-mounted and remotely operated versions.
