Hot stuff: under a two year contract worth around £2.5m, Coventry-based bearings company Nadella UK has agreed to supply the lion’s share of £4.5m worth of orders that British Steel has placed for roll neck bearings. These are to be used in its steel mills throughout the UK. Roll neck bearings incorporate four-row taper roller bearings to support the main rolls used in rolling steel. A mixture of sealed and non-sealed bearings will be produced by Nadella’s joint parent company, Torrington, at its Darlaston factory.
