Kvaerner Oil & Gas has won a £200m contract to build a floating production vessel for the North Sea.

The hull for the 105,000 tonne floating production storage and offloading vessel for the Bittern and Guillemot West fields will be built in Korea, with the remaining fabrication and process work carried out at Kvaerner’s Port Clarence yard on Teesside. Shell, Texaco and Amerada Hess will manage the vessel.
