Kvaerner Oil & Gas has won a contract likely to be worth £80m-£100m to provide engineering and other services on four of Elf’s North Sea installations over the next five years.

The contract will be served from Kvaerner’s Aberdeen base and covers the existing Piper B, Saltire A and Claymore platforms as well as the development of the high pressure/high temperature Elgin and Franklin fields which are under way.

Work covers maintenance operations, construction and support services, including the supply chain and safety.

The deal is expected to be worth £20m to Kvaerner in the first year.
