Process information can be instantly available to intranet client terminals via their Web browsers using new Web@a-Glance software, according to developer, Intuitive Technology.

It means that process engineering, quality control, management information, etc can be handled from anywhere in the world.

Launched at the ISA Show, Chicago, last year, it covers systems including Bailey DCI System Six and Infi 90, Fisher-Rosemount ProVox, Honeywell TDC3000, Siemens PCS and DEC BASEstar, GE Fanuc Cimplicity, Gensym G2, Intellution Fix and Setpoint Setcim.

The system harnesses an @aGlance/IT server to make the connection. You can view data via Microsoft’s Explorer or Netscape Navigator. It contains an ActiveX control allowing application development using Visual Basic Script and object-orientated software from, for example, Rockwell and National Instruments.
