The micro field processor from Cegelec, provides a source of local PLC processing. Located on a standard Alspa CE80-20 remote I/O rail, the new module can be positioned between the master network controller and its remote I/O to handle data processing at the machine level, providing additional control, supervision or security in an automated system.

With a standalone PLC capability, the unit can also support independent Alspa N80 and WorldFIP network communication between successive islands of communication, created by the addition of the module to remote Alspa CE80-20 distributed I/O clusters.

Programmed with the same ladder software as Cegelec’s own Alspa 80-05 micro PLC and Alspa C80-35 mid range PLC, the device offers 6K word of capacitor backed user program space. Typical scan rate of the module is 1ms/K of Boolean logic.
