Machine tool exports up

Machine tool exports in the first quarter of 2000 were worth £110m, up 4.6% on the same period in 1999, according to the Machine Tool Technologies Association. Numerically-controlled machine tool exports grew fastest, up 14.5%. Imports of NC tools rose by 11%.
