Material Sciences introduces S3P process for polymers

US process developer Material Sciences is starting the commercial introduction of its solid state shear pulverisation (S3P) process for creating new polymers. The technique subjects existing polymers to high shear and pressure, which breaks molecular bonds and creates new reactive sites, changing the chemical and physical properties of the polymers.
