Among the glitz and glamour at the Motor Show in Birmingham this October there will be some more serious action. Every car displayed at the show will automatically be entered into the prestigious Motor Show Awards 2000, sponsored by Corus.

The awards will recognise manufacturers who have demonstrated advanced, innovative and tangible breakthroughs in vehicle design within the 23 award categories. These include Car of the Show; an Environmental Award for the vehicle that demonstrates the best advances in fuel economy, emission control and use of recyclable materials; the Specialist Low Volume Manufacturer Award and a Safety Award.

The entrants will be judged by a panel of automotive experts throughout the Motor Show press day on Tuesday 17 October, and the winners will be announced at the gala dinner the following evening at Birmingham’s Metropole Hotel.

Winning manufacturers will be presented with the newly styled Corus IvehE Motor Show Awards Trophy.
