Fire fighters should soon be able to douse flames without fear of damaging the environment, using a new fluid developed by Fire Equipment Consultants.

The FireStopper aqueous film-forming catalyst – pictured during trials at the Ministry of Defence’s Fire Training Establishment near Kent International Airport – is a non-toxic, non corrosive agent which is biodegradeable. It is compatible with sea and fresh water and can be used with existing fire fighting equipment.
