There’s now an evaluation package for National Instruments’ BridgeVIEW graphical programming software which creates SCADA, MMI and real time and historical data analysis applications. It contains the full-functionality software as a native 32-bit Windows NT/95 application, including facilities for analysis of on-line and historical data. You need a Pentium PC with 32Mb RAM.
The company has also introduced Device Server Toolkit for system integrators a collection of tools for developing servers that are OLE for Process Control (OPC) compatible. It’s supported by BridgeVIEW, and lets you develop servers to communicate with plant legacy applications. Go to www.natinst.com/automation/ for information.
