Glass engineering group BMT of Belgium has acquired Penzance-based FIC UK, manufacturer of all-electric melting and boosting equipment.

ICI sells utilities
ICI has sold its utilities and services operation, based at Teesside, to Enron for £300m. The deal includes Wilton power station, a water treatment plant, pipeline corridors, tunnels and railway track, as well as 712ha of land.
Milton Keynes-based Stone & Webster is to supply its ethylene technology and engineering, procurement and construction services to BP Chemicals for the expansion of its KG Ethylene plant at Grangemouth, Scotland.
