German company Siemens has won a £120m contract to build 16 trains for rolling stock leasing company Angel for Regional Railways North East’s Leeds-Bradford-Ilkley-Skipton line.

Cable & Wireless has ordered software from NCI to allow TV sets to access the Internet, as part of its £100m investment in digital TV. The system, which will provide access to 200 channels, will be available to C&W subscribers in the autumn.
