Best practice guidance is now available on how to deal with the `Millennium Time Bomb’. CCTA, the Government’s Central Computer and Telecomms Agency, has produced a six volume set of guides covering starting, managing and implementing a Year 2000 compliance programme.

Called Tackling the Year 2000, it’s the most detailed guidance to date – important in view of the scale of the challenge now facing organisations. The CCTA itself promulgates estimates of 80% of all computers and software not coping with the Year 2000 date.
