Shaping the future of the energy industry is the theme at this year’s Offshore Northern Seas conference (22-25 August, Stavanger, Norway). The conference will consider issues such as energy policy in a changing world, gas and power, technology and environment and the competition for capital. Also addressed will be the extensive restructuring of the petroleum industry and the implications of volatile prices. Keynote speakers will include Mark Moody-Stuart, chairman of the committee of managing directors at Royal Dutch/Shell group, and Norwegian prime minister Kjell Magne Bondevik.
